‘Loki’ Review: Marvel’s Best Series Yet!

On this The Global Film Show report, Editor-In-Chief Diego Andaluz reviews Loki. Joined by numerous global contributors, they discuss their in-depth thoughts on the technical and thematic strengths and shortcomings of the series, among other notable highlights.

Picking up immediately after Loki steals the Tesseract (again), he finds himself called before the Time Variance Authority, a bureaucratic organization that exists outside of time and space, forced to answer for his crimes against the timeline and given a choice: face deletion from reality or assist in catching an even greater threat.

Rating: 4 out of 5.

LOKI may just be the best series of the so far. With a charismatic performance from Tom Hiddleston, remarkably clever writing, and stunning visual craftsmanship brought together by sharp direction, it results in Marvel’s most ambitious project yet!

LOKI is also the Marvel’s best looking project overall. t’s visually dynamic with colors that pop, intriguing framing, and more! This seems like one of the first projects in which Marvel is letting their crew’s independent artistic roots show!

‘The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It’ Review: A Lackluster Sequel Without A Unique Identity

On this The Global Film Show report, Editor-In-Chief Diego Andaluz reviews The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It.

A chilling story of terror, murder and unknown evil that shocked even experienced real-life paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. One of the most sensational cases from their files, it starts with a fight for the soul of a young boy, then takes them beyond anything they’d ever seen before, to mark the first time in U.S. history that a murder suspect would claim demonic possession as a defense.

Rating: 2.5 out of 5.

The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It struggles to craft a unique identity in this era. While it’s scares, impressive scale, & solid performances are worthy of praise, its jumbled screenplay & lackluster direction result in a film that only diehard horror fans should seek out!

‘Godzilla vs. Kong’ Review: An Epic Blockbuster That Demands A Return To Theaters

On this episode of The Global Film Podcast, Editor-In-Chief and Host Diego Andaluz reviews Godzilla vs. Kong. Joined by numerous global contributors, they discuss their in-depth thoughts on the technical and thematic strengths and shortcomings of the series, among other notable highlights.

In a time when monsters walk the Earth, humanity’s fight for its future sets Godzilla and Kong on a collision course that will see the two most powerful forces of nature on the planet collide in a spectacular battle for the ages.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

Overall, despite Godzilla vs. Kong’s trope-filled screenplay and a burdensome overreliance on thinly developed characters, its eventual shedding of a grounded focus to embrace its blunt and bombastic nature turns the film into a largely enjoyable and incredibly entertaining blockbuster filled to the brim with enough dumb fun, scope, and welcome visual ingenuity.
